“Global Expertise” (RE/MAX Times, June 2007) I was immediately exited by Audree’s approach to International marketing. So I joined the I.R.E.S. I am fairly new to the Real Estate world and I was looking for a different way to promote my services. I found it thanks to Audree and the training material. Just a few weeks after I became “Certified” I signed my first listing over one million $: A $ 1,950,000 property with an agreement for international brokerage.

Dear Olivier, We met at the RE/MAX Masters office recently and I mentioned to you that I was about to do a listing presentation where the seller was looking specifically for an agent who could differentiate themselves as he was selecting his third agent to try to sell his home. I met with him the next day and told him about I.R.E.S. using your dialogue. He called me today to tell me he wanted me to take the listing – a $630,000 house. As a Canadian and Toronto Sales Representative, and somewhat of an international traveler myself, I never imagined I could sell Real Estate outside my city let alone outside my country! But with the Training offered by the Mevellec Team, everything is explained step by step. The support is there when you need it and the best part is the templates you get to use for your new business so you can protect yourself. It's hard to go wrong. I just wanted to let you know how much I.R.E.S. has begun to impact my business within the last couple of weeks. For the last couple of years, I have been trying to break into the Luxury Home market targeting properties from $600K and have had quite a challenging time achieving it. There are several agents in my market share who are with either Ebby, Keller Williams or Coldwell Banker who dominate this market throughout, and I have lost out several listings trying to compete with them. The reason being RE/MAX did not have a presence in these high end neighborhoods. We were perceived as the "middle and lower end" sectors of Realtors. When I met you and Olivier several years ago, I thought your program was probably the missing link that I needed. Unfortunately, you were with a different company and I didn't really understand the whole facet of it nor had the time to take the training course to truly understand the whole process. Now that you've become part of RE/MAX and after going through the training materials you sent me together with Olivier's smashing presentation, I have been able to secure 2 high end listings, one for $965,000 and the other for $799,000 in less than 2 weeks. Those are listings that expired with the other 2 well-known agents in this market and the owners were looking for a different and unique approach, and I was able to show them that I, now belong to the prestigious I.R.E.S. and can market their properties internationally thus, bringing more clients from all over the world to them. The sellers were very excited and loved the concept and gave me the listing on the spot. They also loved the beautiful Castles and Estates magazine and looked forward to seeing their gorgeous home advertised in it. I also have big plans to expand my international listing inventory and plan to take on developers and builders, and be able to co-promote their projects in different parts of the U.S. and the world in the near future. I would like to thank you for this fabulous opportunity and for helping me to finally achieve my goal. There is no telling where we all will be heading, together with RE/MAX, the possibility is endless.
Although I am still working on my certification and have not placed property listings in your magazine yet, my clients love the spirit of “global marketing” as a way I work my listings. I.R.E.S. certification is a huge thing for my credibility and separates me from the others with little to no difficulty. I picked up the right to advertise in the book a $900,000 ranch here in MO today against other realtors because it will sell if presented as an international coop. LOVE THE PROGRAM!
We joined I.R.E.S. recently, and already it has helped us get a listing. We have also found an I.R.E.S. agent in Toronto, Canada with whom we are promoting our listings locally. I think it will be a good relationship with him and we are working to find more I.R.E.S. agents in other areas. We hope I.R.E.S. expands to all parts of RE/MAX International, so that we can truly benefit from having a world wide network, and world wide franchise.
